A Tale Of Xavier
A poem in honour of a friend on her birthday

I had a chance to meet a damsel Then I fell, not in love but with peace Quiet, smart, such beautiful breed You needn’t be told of her wise counsel I had a chance, humility to touch Embodiment of the purest but rarest of love Empathy’s choicest dwelling place Unscarred by the cold hands of callousness I had a chance to hear her speak Such eloquence in ascending peaks With a touch of courtesy each line replete And now I wish she stayed with me I have a chance to tell a tale Of Ndiana-Xavier born on this day Be merry, take stakes and bake some chocolate cakes You’re loved and cherished this day and always!
