Most tourists coming to France have typical bucket list items. Will land in Paris to see the iconic Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre Museum, and then have a bite of the famous cheese, baguette, and mouth-watering pastries.

But trust me, there is plenty more to France than that. There are many cities, towns, and villages worth a visit. Today, I am going to talk about one of the finest places in the country — Toulouse. This is also is my hometown for the last five years and believe me it is worth every day.

To many, Toulouse is the Airbus city. Indeed, it is. But to residents like me and thousands of others — it means much more than that.

So, instead of making today’s story a travel blog, I just want to tell the readers the little things that actually craft the values of this city and make it actually beautiful.

Okay, to start off with, let me tell you that people over here are never in a hurry. They enjoy the little things in life, whether it be having coffee with a friend, stroll in the park, or simply talking to a neighbor. You will never find the locals going in a rush, honking, speeding, or yelling.

Roads always have smooth traffic unless there is a football match and the die-hard fans want to make their way to the stadium. Rest is all chill.

There is another important thing about Toulouse. The residents show a lot of respect to the elders. So imagine that you at a mart and there is an old lady who has a lot of grocery items. Now even if she wants to count all the dimes and nickels and there may be a big line of shoppers waiting for their turn but no one will utter a word. It is a little irritating but in the real essence; it shows great morals and values that make the city worth living.

Last but not least, Toulouse has a lot of universities, a man-made canal, scenic parks, cobblestone streets, lush green trees, and 24/7 entertainment.

Hope to see you soon. It will be a pleasure to welcome you on board!
