A State of Perplexium

Uhhhmmmm, what was I doing?

In a state of perplexium I now find myself as I climb up the stairs. I’m only halfway when my mind asks what I’d planned to do once there.

There must have been a purpose to my climb, I ponder as I wheeze, for why else would I bother to cause such distress to my poor knees?

I pause, lost deep in thought a while, slapping palm on brow, mumbling “Errr” and “Ummm.” I worry I’m starting to go senile, dazed here in a haze of perplexium.

According to the wisdom set forth in the Made Up Words Writing Challenge [see below], the neologism “perplexium” refers to:

When you enter a room and forget why you are there…. It could also be used as a noun to describe the room where confused people go to sit and ponder deep questions.
