POETRY

A Song for the Eyes and the Heart.

A recipe for ocular delight. For best results mix in unequal parts and do not skimp. Open wide and enjoy immediately.

jade against cobalt saffron, port and turquoise verdigris with rust

it matters not that they have names but seeing them together is a must

electric lime and thick bright white

an elemental rush

the deepest sea reveals a riot of color a jungle fundamental lush

the view from inside sun-warmed lids vivid red and orange

lashed to a memory of serenity and summer’s heady rush

ocher birds bound across gilded fields crowned by aubergine skies

twirling i see the big, clear blue the mad-cap clouds skirt above emerald grass

I let go and fall
