A Society of Anxiety

Poem of reality

Society made rules, And stop me from, making my life's rules.

Society imposes restrictions, And always makes predictions, About my future.

Society never wants to change their old minds, And move towards a better world, Where we can live a better life.

Society always tell me, To run in this rat race, Otherwise, you will have no space to live.

Society is run by insane people, Who makes the world insane, And it never gives a chance to explain.

I know every society has some good and bad things. Since childhood, I am living in a typical Indian society.

As a young man, I don’t like the one thing about Indian society is the Indian education system. Many students can study anywhere on the power of money. With money, you can get everything.

When it comes to women, Indian society needs to change a lot. We need strict rules and regulations when it comes to the safety of women.

We need to be more open. In urban cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore there may not be that many restrictions.

In rural areas, women can’t go out after the dark. Even in the worst scenario, women are not allowed to travel alone. Not just that, they have more restrictions when it comes to clothes. They are not allowed to wear western clothes.

I think we need broad-minded people to make India a developed country. In India, most women prefer to be housewives even if they are well qualified.

Here are some of the common things where Indian society needs to improve.

  • Caste discrimination
  • Gender discrimination
  • Religious discrimination
  • Poor education facility
  • Lack of etiquette
  • Love marriage and inter-caste marriages are bad
  • Corruption
  • Healthcare system
  • Poverty
  • Women’s safety
  • Unemployment
  • Politics
  • Pending justice

The most irritating thing that I don’t like about Indian society is we all get free advice from people who are not even qualified to give us an opinion about that particular thing.

As a youth, I think Indians need to be more disciplined when it comes to following the rules and regulations.

Sometimes, society stops us from doing what we want. Therefore, do what heart says don’t care what people will say. No matter, you do right or wrong people always have something to say about you.

Together, we can create a better community and society for a better tomorrow. Let’s make this world a better place by changing our perspective.

“A good person can make another person good; it means that goodness will elicit goodness in the society; other persons will also be good.”

-Bhumibol Adulyadej
