A Sneak Peek Into My Life.

As a new writer on Illumination, I was supposed to write an introduction to myself. Now, I pride myself on being very self aware, but I kind of blanked out here. Eighteen years isn’t enough to whip out the most thrilling life story i guess.

So let me just manipulate the realities of my life, and present to you my story, which is still being written, for a lot is yet to come.

I’m Amisha Singh, from Delhi, India. Born on 12th June, a Gemini. I’m currently in my first year of Bachelors in Technology from Panjab University, Chandigarh, where I live now as a hosteler.

I’ve been into reading ever since I was little. Some of the books that have in some way deeply impacted me are, ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho and ‘The Fault in our Stars’ by John Green.

What’s GenZ without stories :p

I also love to write, and draw. These two go hand in hand for me. As you might have seen in my bio- ‘I put myself on paper through words and art’. This is how I vent. If words can express what i want to convey, i write. If not, I doodle.

I’ve always dreamt of being a published author. Currently, I’m writing a book, let’s see how that goes.

Apart from this, I’m forever curious about anything related to science, specifically space and the human brain.

Diverse interests, i know.

Also, I’m a technology enthusiast, and am currently self learning programming. This is the field I’ve decided to pursue career wise.

As a person, I’ve always been someone who follows my passion. Once I know that I absolutely want something, I put my heart and soul into it, which is both a boon and a bane. After striving for something with such dedication, I’ve had more than unpleasant encounters with failure at times, which have tried to break me down. But being just as optimistic as the books I read, I’ve moved past them even more determined. With lessons learnt and a lot more to accomplish. Looking at the brighter side, this is what has made me into a strong willed individual, with my mind as my greatest asset.

So yeah, that’s me, an eighteen year old girl, chasing sunshine till I find it chasing me.

Also, a big thank you to Dr Mehmet Yildiz for this opportunity. Really looking forward to it!

Now, I’ll get back to my assignments with a strong iced coffee. ❤
