A Small Betrayal
Based on Spooktober Prompts Edition #Week 2

I forgive you, For the small betrayal, You did to me, But the small flame of the treachery, Didn’t blow out, Yet it burst into the wildfire, Burned and destroy the forest of trust.
Is this the gift, You’re returning to me, In exchange for my trust in you? Why aren’t you conscious, The karma that you have done, In your book of life?
Forgiveness is equal to divinity, But you embarrass the divine reconciliation, Through your greediness and envy. Only the conscious light within you, Will save you from the flame of betrayal, I will pray for you.
The small betrayal, Can be pardoned, Yet it should not be allowed, As it will become larger, When you are not aware, Blindfolded with the mask of jealousy.
If I allow your betrayal, Into my life, It will engulf my inner peace, And halt me, From approaching to the light of compassion.
Thus, I forgive you, For the small betrayal, you have done, In my life. But it is decent for both of us, To keep a distance, So that we can travel, To our own path of healing.
Thank you, my dear friend, To teach me, The art of forgiveness, Through your small act of betrayal.
Thank you so much, Diana C. for the amazing prompt!
I’m joining the 30-day challenge with Brown Boi and Ali and this is the 10th work of this challenge. 10/30 done!
