A Single Ray of Sunshine Pierces the Darkness-Hope is Always There
Never give up, never give in-you just never know
No matter how desperate things seem, no matter how dark your world is right now, never give up, never give in. Things can flip from the dark side of despair to the bright side of hope in a heartbeat.
A single ray of sunshine pierces the darkness, and what once was a desolated row now is illuminated by the shining light of hope.
The sunshine banishes the gloom, dispels the darkness, and gives us the strength to carry on.
The strength to sail on into that limitless world of miracles and magic, past borders with no boundaries, from where we started to where we are eventually going to end up come from within.
Bad things happen to good people all the time, and it doesn’t seem fair, it doesn’t seem right, and sometimes seems impossible to endure at times.
To break on through to the other side, to leave behind the fear, the paranoia, and the sense of hopelessness is our forever goal.
We need to think positively at all times, no matter how helpless, hopeless, and frightened we may be. We need to forge forward and never look back.
If we are struck down with a serious illness, when we lose someone near and dear to us, and when it all seems the most desperate is when we are most vulnerable to losing hope.
But we can never give in to that negative emotion. We must fight it with every ounce of our strength, believe in ourselves, to support our loved ones with all the hope and strength we can muster.
“Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light,” are the words of the Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas. He wrote it for his dying father.
What Thomas is getting at in his poem is to live life fully, to enjoy each day, to enjoy our experiences, and to keep on fighting till the end.
To realize each day we wake up is a precious opportunity to do good, to help others, to seize the moment, and to savor the joy of life.
We should maximize every waking, conscious moment for the good of all of us. In the end, we truly are our brother’s keepers.
If something is broken, we need to try and fix it.
If somebody is hurting, we need to try to help and comfort them.
If we see violence and injustice we need to raise our voices against these forces of darkness.
We need to change the world so there is more joy and less pain, more sharing, more caring, more love, and less hate.
We need to live healthy lives, to exercise and eat well, to keep ourselves strong and healthy so we can help others less fortunate.
That should be our goal in life.
To build up, not tear down.
To dedicate our lives to improving things for everybody.
The rich and powerful have the most to give and need to utilize their bounty for everybody.
Life is simple, really. It has a well-defined beginning, an often tumultuous middle, and an inevitable end.
What we do with the spaces in between is what matters the most.
How we live our lives is completely dependent on us.
We can soar like an eagle through the skies.
We can wallow in the muck and mud of greed and power or help each other over the rough patches, and the trying times, and help make things better for everybody.
There is no limit to what we can do if we only have the heart and willingness to try and do our best. This is why we are here.
It is always darkest before the dawn. Rage against the dying of the light.
Nurture the flame of hope, that single ray of sunshine. We are all connected…
