Abstract

The article "A Simple Guide to the Seven Chakra Energy System" delves into the ancient spiritual concept of chakras, which are energy centers within the body. It explains that these chakras, from the Root to the Crown, govern various aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Each chakra is associated with specific emotions, needs, and elements, and when balanced, they contribute to a harmonious state of being. The guide emphasizes the importance of maintaining open and aligned chakras to ensure the free flow of energy, or prana, which is essential for health and vitality. It also provides insights into the challenges that arise from imbalances in these energy centers and offers practical advice for realigning them, such as connecting with nature, engaging in creative activities, and practicing mindfulness and meditation.

A Simple Guide to the Seven Chakra Energy System

The entire universe is made up of energy, and your body is no exception

Introduction to The Chakra Energy System

Everything is energy, and the human body is no exception. The many emotions we feel every day are all energy in motion (e. motion.)

All of those emotions run through the chakra energy centers that lie in the spine. The chakras are the energy centers in the body through which massive amounts of energy flow.

When you feel an emotion and you don’t run from it, you process it and allow it to flow through you. When you refuse to feel it and you run from it, it doesn’t go anywhere. If you don’t process the anger you feel and allow it to flow, it remains inside you.

Energy cannot be destroyed when it has been generated. It can only be transferred or transmuted. Unprocessed emotions remain stagnant in your spine and when it happens often, your chakras become blocked, and the energy stops flowing, and that’s the beginning of dis-ease and dis-comfort.

The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel.’ It is literally a wheel of spinning energy vortex aligned inside the body.

The study of the chakras originates from ancient Eastern spiritual traditions that consider the seven primary chakras as a person’s life force or prana. Your life force or prana is the energy that moves you.

There are seven chakras, and they all serve a very important purpose. They power the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic body. They are governed by spiritual laws and principles that you can use to cultivate greater harmony, happiness, and overall well-being.

When the energies are spinning in alignment, you feel healthy, fulfilled, and balanced. When out of alignment, your energy is literally all over the place and you feel stuck.

Chakras can be underactive or overactive. When it’s underactive, it means it’s closed or blocked and when it’s overactive; it means the energies are on overdrive and working in an unnatural way.

When chakras are out of alignment and they become weak, they can be recharged through contact with the stream of universal energy all around you. Look to the earth to support you. Look to fire to light you up. Look to water to cleanse you and look to the air to refresh you.

While there isn’t much scientific evidence to support any of this, we’re highly spiritual people and we don’t need science to explain spiritual matters.

Let’s dive deep.

Life Is a Struggle When This Chakra Is Blocked (Photo: Peter Lomas)

1. The Root Chakra 🔴

The root chakra is the first and primary chakra. It is associated with the color red and is located at the base of the spine. It is the chakra closest to earth and therefore concerned with earthly grounding and physical survival.

It is connected to the things you need to feel protected, grounded and supported like basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and safety, as well as emotional needs such as letting go of fear, feeling safe and supported. When these needs are met, you worry less and when it's not met, there’s usually cause to panic.

It functions to connect your body, mind, and soul with the earth. It keeps you grounded and connected with the abundant energy found in the heart of the earth.

The root chakra is associated with the legs and feet, so it controls our fight-or-flight response. This chakra is feminine in nature because of its connection with Mother Earth.

It is the root that makes you feel supported.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Root Chakra 🔴

As the first and primary source of energy, its blockage can lead to feelings of instability, insecurity, and a deep fear of life itself.

You may have fears about the future and a fear of the unknown. This makes you overthink and worry too much.

You may have doubts about yourself and your ability to succeed. When you’re doubting yourself, you put off important projects and never complete what you start. When you don’t complete what you start, you don’t get anywhere in life. You remain stagnant. This causes feelings of frustration and a lack of purpose.

It can also manifest as paranoia, procrastination, and defensiveness. You feel as if everybody is out to get you and you must fight or run away.

You feel insecure and ungrounded in yourself. You feel as if the Earth doesn’t even want to support you.

When this chakra is weak, you feel as light as a feather. You’re easily blown away when the wind swooshes in because your feet are not firmly planted on the ground and when the storm comes, it washes you away and you have nothing to hold on to.

When the root chakra is overactive, there’s an obsession with feeling grounded and secure. You’re constantly working hard to provide security, stability and safety for yourself in a way that’s unhealthy and affects your physical and mental health.

There’s also an overindulgence in physical pleasures like food, sex, money, and material things that are known to make a person feel stable in life. It only makes you tired and overwhelmed when you do too much.

How to Strengthen The Root Chakra 🔴

The easiest way to strengthen the root chakra is to connect and form a much deeper relationship with the ground beneath your feet. You have to trust that the earth will support and hold you up.

The earth is in the business of energy transmutation. It has many things to offer you. Connect with the earth by walking barefoot on rich soil or grass. By putting your barefoot on the earth, you absorb some of the earth’s positive energy while releasing the negative energy from yourself into the earth to be transmuted.

You have to trust yourself, too. Trust that your soul knows what it’s doing and won’t leave you stranded here without help. You trust yourself when you listen to your intuition, and every time you listen to your intuition; you feel safe and grounded in yourself.

The root chakra has to do with survival and it, therefore, has something to do with the inner child. Trauma and other negative childhood experiences affect the root chakra. When you connect and heal your wounded inner child, you feel safe and more grounded. Then you are better able to face and conquer your fears.

When you’re at peace with yourself and the world, the earth holds you down when the wind blows. The mother earth protects you when the storm comes and you can ride with the wind without being blown away.

Root Chakra Affirmation: I am safe and protected at all times. There’s no place for fear in my heart. I am grounded and stable and I can do anything!

2. The Sacral Chakra 🟠

The sacral chakra is the second chakra. It is represented by the color orange and is located about three inches below the navel. It is very feminine and relates to the water element.

It is associated with the emotional body, sensuality, sexuality, and creativity. It is the center of feeling and sensation. It is active in the expression of our sensual, sexual, and physical desires.

This chakra is the most fun out of the seven. It’s rules sex and other fun stuff.

It controls fluidity, flexibility, flow, versatility, and freedom.

It correlates to things we find pleasure in, such as writing, drawing, singing, painting, dancing and also sex and lovemaking.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Sacral Chakra 🟠

When this chakra is blocked, it manifests as a lack of creativity, a lack of sensuality, and an inability to express yourself sexually. Your emotions may be over the place. You may find yourself stuck in a particular mood or feeling longer than necessary.

You may have no desire to have sex and sexual words like penetrate, moist, wet, etc will probably make you very uncomfortable. A person may also have some sexual dysfunctions when there is a problem in their sacral chakra.

You may have trouble being intimate with others.

You’ll feel numb, out of touch with your feelings and the feelings of others.

Imbalances in the sacral chakra can also manifest as a dependency or co-dependency with other people, and/or substances that grant you easy access to pleasure. If a person can’t really enjoy sex, they try to find pleasure elsewhere. When this goes on too often, it leads to dissociation from yourself.

A blocked sacral chakra leads to low confidence, a lack of motivation, and the inability to create because you can’t express yourself and your artistic abilities very well.

When this chakra is overactive, all you want to do is create without even taking the time to rest or take a break. It also leads to an addiction to sex and other sensual pleasures.

Symbolically and literally, the sacral chakra is the birth canal. It allows you to create babies. An overactive sacral chakra can cause a person to have too many babies because they’re always having sex.

An overactive sacral chakra may also cause you to experience very high highs and extremely low lows that make life feel like a gigantic emotional rollercoaster that’s not fun.

How to Strengthen The Sacral Chakra 🟠

The easiest way to strengthen the sacral chakra is by connecting to water. Spending time around water, going for a swim, sitting near the sea or a flowing stream, or taking a calming and relaxing bath will be soothing for your sacral chakra.

Sing and dance like no one is watching. Dance in slow circles like the divine feminine dwells in you and it does in every male and every female. When you dance, put your waist into it.

Yoga is helpful in strengthening the sacral chakra because it reconnects the physical with the spiritual, which can restore balance to the sacral chakra.

Engage in creative activities like writing, drawing, painting, singing, etc. to activate your creative sacral chakra.

You can also strengthen your sacral chakra simply by embracing your sexuality. You are a sexual being and sex is a huge part of life. Don’t feel embarrassed about it.

Because this chakra is associated with sensuality and sexuality, you have to be mindful of who you sleep with. Energy is transferred to you during sex, so when you do it, make it a healing experience for your chakra and not something that messes with your energy when you absorb another person’s dense energy.

A healthy and aligned sacral chakra allows you to source energy for creativity, movement, procreation, desire, pleasure, and healthy relationships.

It is in this chakra that you design the life you truly want.

Sacral Chakra Affirmation: I feel good and I feel pleasure and abundance with every breath I take.

3. The Solar Plexus Chakra 🟡

The solar plexus chakra is the third chakra located in the stomach/chest area. It is a masculine fire element associated with the color yellow.

This chakra is powered by the sun.

Like the sun, the solar plexus chakra is your main source of energy. It rules your vitality, passion, ambition, and your desires.

It is associated with the gut and therefore controls your gut feelings. When something in your life isn’t right, you feel it in your stomach — in your solar plexus.

The solar plexus chakra is your identity. It rules how confident you are and the view you have of yourself.

It rules your personality and also your ego. It controls your motivation, determination, and willpower.

It gives you a sense of purpose here on earth.

In reality, this is the source of your personal power and is the force that propels you forward and upward.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Solar Plexus Chakra 🟡

When the solar plexus is weak or blocked, your personal power is taken away from you by a person or situation. When your power is taken away, you feel weak and powerless.

You become afraid, insecure, and indecisive because you have no control over your life. This can seriously affect your self-confidence, your self-esteem, and ultimately your social life.

When this chakra is overactive, you have an excessive need to control your life, and it may even extend to the need to control the lives of others.

You become aggressive and quick to anger.

It may lead to a lack of compassion and empathy and you lose a sense of who you are all in the name of power.

You may misuse your power by being greedy, manipulative, and controlling.

How to Strengthen The Solar Plexus Chakra 🟡

A strong solar plexus chakra is the fuel that drives you. It's your source of power and vitality.

Because the solar plexus chakra is powered by the sun, sungazing is an excellent way to strengthen and bring it back into alignment. You don’t have to look directly at the sun. All you need to do is soak in the healing rays of the sun.

Meditating and visualizing while soaking in the sun’s energy is a work of art and a powerful way to strengthen your solar plexus chakra.

The solar plexus chakra is associated with masculine energy therefore, any activity that makes you move your body is a great way to push this chakra in alignment. Exercise helps create an individual sense of strength, courage, and power.

Any activity that can help you begin to heal and move the trauma stuck in your body can be a path to healing the past and restoring balance to the chakra system.

When the solar plexus chakra is balanced and aligned with the others, you feel powerful without needing to dominate others. You exude confidence without being arrogant.

Solar Plexus Chakra Affirmation: I am strong and powerful. There is nothing I can’t be. I can do anything!

4. The Heart Chakra 🟢

The heart chakra is the fourth chakra and is located right above the heart. It is associated with the color green and relates to the air element. It is powered through the breath that you take.

It is the middle of the seven chakras and therefore links the upper and lower chakras. It connects the higher energies (the heavens) with the lower energy (the earth.)

The heart chakra fuels your love, kindness, and compassion. It is what makes you have compassion for yourself and others. It's so much easy to forgive when your heart chakra is healthy.

We associate love with the heart because real love comes from the core of your being. It is the heart that prompts you to stop and help someone in need.

The heart acts as the center of integration and healing. It is the primary source of most of what happens in our spiritual lives because it is the heart that allows us to connect to all.

The heart chakra doesn’t just control matters of the heart, it is the chakra that transcends your old identity and goes beyond the limitations of the ego.

It opens you up to compassion and acceptance of all that is just the way it comes.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Heart Chakra 🟢

When the heart chakra becomes weak, you can’t love yourself. If you can’t love yourself, well, then you can’t love others.

You may build a big wall around your heart, refusing to allow anybody in to see who you really are. You feel the need to guard and protect yourself in order not to get hurt. When this goes on for too long, you feel out of touch with your body.

You may become numb to the pain in your heart and therefore neglect your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. The spiritual body becomes the last thing on your mind when your heart energy is struggling to spin in alignment with the heavenly energies.

With a blocked heart chakra comes negative self-talk and negative thinking that lowers your self-esteem and self-worth.

It may also manifest as a fear of intimacy, jealousy, being closed off, codependency, or excessive isolation.

When the heart chakra becomes overactive, you lose your personal boundaries and make unhealthy choices, all in the name of love. You put the needs of others before your own.

You put people on pedestals just so they can look down on you. You make everything and everyone else a priority instead of yourself. You give your love away to others, neglecting yourself in the process.

You may even put yourself in grave danger just to save another person.

How to Strengthen The Heart Chakra 🟢

Because the heart chakra relates to the air element, it is literally and symbolically recharged through breathing. When times get crazy, it’s easy to forget how good it feels to just slow down and take a couple of deep breaths. Simple breathing exercises help you connect to your heart.

When you can sit still and bring your attention inwards, you expand your heart and transmute all the pain inside of it.

Self-love and self-care activities will strengthen a weak chakra. Treating yourself to a wonderful massage and other activities, such as taking a luxurious bubble bath with essential oils and candles burning with your favorite music playing in the speakers, is an act of self-love that will heal you.

It all comes down to giving yourself the love you wish to receive from others.

Being there and showing up for yourself, especially when there is no one there is an act of self-care and a powerful way to recharge your heart chakra.

When you commit to doing this, you push your heart chakra back into alignment and it receives energy from the upper and lower chakras, so you feel connected to yourself and all that is around you.

When you care and love yourself, you can love and care for others. The compassion and love you feel for yourself spread to those around you. You can forgive easily so you can be free.

A person with a strong and balanced heart chakra radiates love, warmth, joy, harmony, and peace, and it is therefore easy for them to attract their heart’s desires, manifest their wildest dreams, and experience a healthy and abundant life.

5. The Throat Chakra 🔵

The throat chakra is the fifth chakra. It is associated with the color blue and is located in the center of the neck. It relates to the air element through sound.

The throat chakra is associated with the highest truth and connects the ethereal and spiritual realms to the physical and material world. It is one of the uppermost chakras which are considered the most spiritual.

It acts as the “bottleneck” serving as the passageway of energy into the “bottle” aka the body. Energy from the universe enters through the upper three chakras (crown, third eye, and throat), moves through the middle chakras (heart, solar plexus, and sacral) pushing down dense energies in the body to exit through the lower chakra (root.)

It is the energy that makes your voice unique. It enables you to speak with wisdom and honesty.

It powers your originality, your individuality, and your ability to freely and truthfully express yourself. It also controls the dialogue that takes place in your head.

The throat chakra works closely with the sacral chakra to bring your creative ideas to life.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Throat Chakra 🔵

The throat chakra controls your ability to freely express your emotions. When things don’t work out and we are upset, we often say we’re “choked up” or “lost for words” not knowing the right things to say.

When the throat chakra is blocked, you can’t express yourself and your feelings properly.

You fear speaking because when you do, it's often taken in the wrong way. You are misinterpreted, and that makes you feel misunderstood.

Because the throat chakra controls the voices in your head, it’s easy to find your thoughts flooded with negativity when this chakra is out of alignment. This, if not addressed, can render you powerless.

When there’s a problem with this chakra, it makes you shy, insecure, and anxious around others. It makes you fear that you will be judged, mocked, or ridiculed for the things you say, so you may choose not to speak at all.

This manifests as excessive secretiveness.

An overactive throat chakra leads to too much talking! It leads a person to talk endlessly without stopping for others to talk too.

Gossiping, complaining, talking too loud and talking over others are all signs of an overactive throat chakra.

An overactive throat chakra will cause a person to blurt things out without thinking about how their words affect others. It can make a person mean, critical, hurtful, and ruthless in their speech.

How to Strengthen The Throat Chakra 🔵

To strengthen the throat chakra, you must speak your truths no matter what. You must learn to express yourself gently through your highest self.

A person with a well-balanced throat chakra pauses to think and reflect on what they say before they say it.

You'd think to strengthen your throat chakra you'll have to talk and talk, but sometimes all you really need is to listen to others talk. You must know when to speak and when to listen.

The highest form of listening involves giving the other person your full attention and being active in the conversation. Listen without rushing to respond. Listen with the intention to understand.

Practice mindful self-expression by journaling. Write down important things you’d like to express to others before it’s time to express them. Or you can try saying them out loud in the mirror.

If there was a situation where you failed to get your point across clearly and you still carry the guilt, say all you wish you would have said and then let it go.

If you were judged, mocked, or made fun of in the past for expressing yourself, forgive, and let it go.

Affirmations are a work of intention. Words are spells. Whatever you say with belief is. It all lies in the power you put behind your intention and if your solar plexus chakra is active, this is no problem at all. Affirmations are a powerful way to push your throat chakra into alignment.

You can also work on your throat chakra by singing. When you sing, feel your vocal chord vibrate with energy.

Also, talk openly and truthfully with others. Stop lying.

Slow down when you speak and stop in between just to reflect on what has been said so far and what still needs to be said.

The throat chakra lies right above the heart chakra, so channeling the heart’s energy and speaking in a heartfelt way is an excellent way to strengthen and balance the throat chakra.

When your throat chakra opens up and aligns with the other chakras, you have more confidence, and you communicate boldly by speaking your highest truth without fear.

Throat Chakra Affirmation: I know when to speak and I know when to listen. My words are powerful and they accomplish everything I send them out to do.

6. The Third Eye Chakra 🟣

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra and therefore acts as your sixth sense. It is the highest chakra inside the human body. It is associated with the color purple and is located on the forehead.

It serves as your foresight.

It is the chakra that helps you to see things the two physical eyes can’t see. It acts as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. It is connected to higher dimensions and the spirit realms.

It is the seat of the soul and therefore responsible for psychic abilities and mystical senses. It is the energy center responsible for your ability to observe and perceive your inner and outer worlds.

It represents your consciousness and acts as the pathway to higher consciousness.

The third eye chakra allows for clear thinking, spiritual contemplation, and self-reflection. It is the center of vision, intuition, wisdom, insight, conscience, higher consciousness, imagination, visualization, clarity, clairvoyance, discernment, and awareness.

This chakra is connected to all things.

When it’s healthy, it sees everything. It knows all things and feels things. Because this chakra is connected to all things, it relates to all the elements.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Third Eye Chakra 🟣

When the third eye chakra is blocked, it may lead to certain emotional, mental, or spiritual challenges. You become disconnected from the spirit within you and have a hard time believing in spirituality because you are too rooted in the physical world.

A blocked third eye chakra blocks your psychic senses and inhibits your intuition. It leads you to feel lost in life. You lose your sense of direction and you just can’t figure out what you are supposed to be doing with your life.

You become stuck in your old ways, unable to change your perspective or see things differently. And no matter what you do, you can’t see the bigger picture.

This leads to cynicism, pessimism, an inability to trust, confusion, inability to perceive the universe, or even believe in a higher power.

You may have trouble trusting in your own inner guidance. You may struggle to trust yourself, and it becomes nearly impossible to make decisions without overthinking them.

This lead to a lack of clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Your perception of life becomes fixed and your judgment clouded. You become closed-minded, not believing in anything else other than what makes you comfortable.

When the third eye chakra is overactive, it may manifest as overindulgence in spirituality, fantasies, and psychic matters. You get stuck in the spiritual world and can’t find your way back to the physical world.

You may feel like you are getting lost in an endless stream of energy download and psychic visions or being bombarded by crazy pieces of information that make no sense or scare the hell out of you.

You become fearful of the things you are seeing with your third eye; things that may be out of this world, unreal, or unsettling.

When this goes on too long, it can lead to delusions, hallucinations, or psychosis. You may struggle to distinguish between what’s real and what’s not. You won't know whether your mind is playing tricks on you or if you’re finally losing it!

How to strengthen the Third Eye Chakra 🟣

Before attempting to work on the third eye chakra, it’s important that you ground yourself into the earth and firmly anchor yourself in your body. Strengthening the root chakra is key is keeping your grounds while exploring your third eye and its qualities fully.

Without being properly grounded, the visions you might get may become too overwhelming and can scare you.

To unblock the third eye chakra, you must gain control over your ego.

It’s the ego that tells you to cut it out with spiritual nonsense. The ego is physical and doesn’t know everything. This isn’t to say get rid of the ego — you need the ego to survive — the goal is to keep the ego in the backseat while your soul takes the driver’s seat.

Meditation is the fastest and easiest way to relax and calm the mind so you can work on your sixth sense. During meditation, bring your attention to the point between the brows and observe what images or thoughts arise.

When you meditate, you commune with the truth in your heart; you hear your spirit and spirit guides speak and you get in touch with your inner guidance. When you are in touch with your inner guidance, you become focused and can therefore see clearly beyond what your physical eyes can see.

Visualization is also a powerful way to use the mind to heal and strengthen the third eye chakra. Visualize a bright purple light vibrantly spinning with energy in the middle of your forehead, cleansing the energy center of any stuck, dense, or negative energy.

Sungazing is an ancient practice used to help in the opening of the third eye chakra and enhance its psychic abilities. It involves is staring at the sun during sunrise or sunset when the sun’s light isn’t as strong. The sun’s rays are healing and are said to decalcify a calcified pineal gland, which is associated with the third eye chakra. You don’t need to look directly at the sun. Just soak it in. Sit under it. Write by the window where the sun peaks in. The sun is good for the physical body.

Meditation, visualization, and sun gazing can all be done at the same time to amplify its powers. Try it and see.

Affirmations are another great way to strengthen the third eye chakra. Think positive thoughts and speak positive words over your life to reprogram the subconscious mind to release blockages in the body.

You get most of your energy through the foods you eat. The third eye won’t open or heal if your diet is mainly junk. Incorporating healthy eating and limiting fluoride can help restore balance to the third eye chakra.

If your third eye is closed, opening it isn’t something you can accomplish in one morning. It’s going to take a lot of time, work, and unblocking the lower chakras first.

Forcing the third eye to open prematurely can result in a spiritual crisis. If your soul isn’t ready for you to see beyond the physical, it won’t open until you prove you can handle the spiritual. You prove this by showing a genuine interest in spirituality and getting the ego under control.

As the seat of the soul, a balanced third eye allows you to perceive life clearly. It gives you clarity and insight to live and create a life aligned with your soul’s purpose.

Third Eye Affirmation: I can see and think clearly. I know way more than I even realize.

7. The Crown Chakra 🔮

The crown chakra is the seventh and last chakra. It is associated with the color violet and relates to the light element. Located at the top of the head, it serves as the bridge to the cosmos.

It acts as the center of spirit, intuition, wisdom, consciousness, and connection to inner and higher guidance.

As one of the top three spiritual chakras, it receives cosmic energy from the universe and brings it inside the body, where it moves through the rest of the chakras.

The crown chakra governs your interaction and communication with the universe and rules your sense of inspiration. It is your highest potential, responsible for your oneness with the higher self, a deeper understanding of the universe, and a healthy spiritual life.

It acts as the gateway to the higher self, much higher consciousness, and to God.

Blockages and Overactivity in The Crown Chakra 🔮

When your crown chakra is suffering, you see spirituality as a very strange or scary thing. You may dismiss any spiritual information and any idea or beliefs that don’t match your own as crazy talk.

You become so closed-minded and closed off that you can’t seem to wrap your head around the fact that there is even a higher power. It also becomes a struggle to connect to your soul, spirit, and your higher self. You might feel like your regular old self and never in an exalted state of consciousness.

When the crown chakra is blocked or closed, you feel misaligned with the energies around you. You feel disconnected from the universe around and inside of you.

Because the crown works closely with the root chakra — whose purpose is to release dense and dark energy — when there are issues with the crown chakra, the root chakra suffers.

The crown chakra needs to receive cosmic energy from above to push dense energies out of the system into the earth through the root chakra.

When you aren’t receiving energy through your crown chakra, the energy moving inside you becomes contaminated and remains inside you, polluting your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

When the crown chakra is overactive, it may cause confusion and chaos in your mind, and you may end up in a mental, emotional, and spiritual crisis where you hallucinate and see things that aren’t there.

An overactive crown chakra leaves you wandering about in dreams, daydreams, illusions, and fantasies. There will be so much spiritual activity that you become mentally tired.

An overactive crown chakra can also make a person arrogantly feel like a god.

How To Strengthen the Crown Chakra 🔮

The spiritual and the physical are brought together through the breath we take. Breathing in fresh air renews your spirit. Breathe in with the intention to receive and bring in divine energy and breathe out, intending to release and let go of dense energy.

The crown chakra works closely with the root chakra because they are the two chakras that lead energy in and out. When one is blocked, the other struggles to function.

Walking barefoot on the earth and connecting with it helps you rid yourself of toxins, toxic, and negative energies by allowing the earth to transmute and transforming them into love back into the world. This allows space in you to receive fresh energy from the crown chakra.

Meditation is a practice that can open every single chakra inside the body if you set your intention for it to do so. It’s like praying. It makes everything feel better. Pair them together and you will get the help you need.

Meditation helps you tap into the energy above you, making you aware of certain things. To supercharge your meditation practice, sit under a source of light or gaze into a candle while visualizing and observing your inner state.

Visualization opens and strengthens the crown chakra. You must be able to visualize the light even when it’s dark. Visualize light or fire with your physical eyes closed and your spiritual eye open.

Also, do things that invoke positive emotion in you, like writing, singing, painting, drawing, coloring, dancing, designing, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, etc.

A healthy crown chakra makes a clear head. When your mind isn’t clear and you are being bombarded with negative thoughts, mess with those thoughts. Mess with negative thoughts by telling them they aren’t true and that they are only made up stories that never come true!

Just because you think a thought doesn’t make it true. Observe and see them simply as things.

When you think of something negative, immediately think of its opposite. If you doubt whether an opportunity will come through, change the thought to what if you get everything you want and more?

Also, detox your body.

If the energy system is blocked or weak, it needs time and space to clear out and flow freely again. Fasting is great for crown chakra healing and spiritual growth. Skip breakfast when you are doing energy healing. Eat light meals, lots of fruits and vegetables. Drink water like your life depends on it.

When you fast and feel lighter, your head is light and you can better hear your intuition and inner guidance.

Most importantly, respect the universe and everything in it. Protect the animals. Don’t abuse the sacred plants. Take care of the water bodies. Respect the earth and the skies. Don’t contribute to the pollution of the air. Bask in the glory of the sun. Admire the moon. Acknowledge the divine masculine and feminine within you. Believe you’re part of something way bigger. If you can do all this, the universe will bless you with an abundance of light, cosmic energy.

As you’re immersed in the cosmic energy all around you, you feel a state of blissful union with all that is.

When your chakras are active and open, it’s easy to remember who you are and for you to find your purpose here on earth, because you’re connected to the earth, water, air, fire, light, and all that is.

You can boldly step into your role as a truly spiritual person with a mission and duty to serve and help others.
