A Silent Loop

Loop Poetry

Quietly, I lay in the shadows and lay silently.

Silently, I wait and wallow for what is meant for me.

Me, the person who yearns for joy yet only feels the pain.

Pain that sticks like Krazy glue and wears a hollow stain.

Stain me, dear darkness, for I have nothing left to give.

Give me some serenity so I can be and live.

Live and love in the moments that I can hold dear within my soul.

Soul; a source I hold within my chest that keeps me whole.

Besides my normal couplet form, this poem featured a style called loop poetry. It is where the last word of the previous sentence has to be the first word of the following sentence, creating a loop. I found myself rhyming twice since the first word of most of the sentences, now rhyme. Besides the first and the last.
