And the horror’s they come home to me In newspapers and then on TV Women torn to rags after a tank’s shell It’s not entertainment but a place in hell

To watch the war from a distance Cheer on Ukrainian Resistance Boo the Russian army full of hate While NATO and America debate

Dictators come and Dictators go You think by now that we would know The course of history is playing out And politicians wonder what it’s all about

The Migs are idle on the runway Use them or not who is to say? But ask a fighter on the ground Give me some back up flying around

Refugees across the Polish border Eager to return when we bring back order Give back to the children the home they had To think we can’t is too fucking sad

One man alone holds the world in his fear When did America allow democracies tears? Boys on the street playing with tires Soon to be soldiers if we do not aspire

To be who we are, the best nation on earth Do not let these children feel of no worth America stands up, is counted at last Procrastinate no more, but let’s act fast

It won’t be easy, it never is, Kennedy said We cannot let democracy fall down dead For centuries we’ve listened to autocrats lies Witness the bloodshed, heard innocent cries

Since spears, and archers, and boiling oil Men have sought to conquer and govern all The Romans, the Turks, the Chinese today Not when its hopeless and they turn away

The nuclear option, the modern world’s spear Putin uses it to encourage genuine fears The Mongols, Hungarians, with deathly tools Once threaten destruction as if we were fools

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a man of the time President Biden could make up my rhyme NATO is our partner; we must act as one Stuff Putin and company up history’s bum

Let the kids go back to playing on the street Let the people work, vote for their seat Ukraine seeks to learn our Western ways Let’s be gracious Europe, say YES today.
