A Ship To Cross The Sea Of Suffering
POETRY
Get on board all people, get up soon, here! Look up! Listen, you must cross the sea. The sea of sufferings of birth and death. This ship is described as follows: As a shipbuilder of infinitely profound wisdom, gather the lumber of four noble truths, an eightfold path plan it honestly by discarding what does not serve you, cut, assemble the planks, forming a perfect unity of right and wrong. Complete the craft.
You are at the helm, take up the mooring rope, row quickly. You who can board it is true in their heart. Believe this wholeheartedly. For when the ocean or sea has to accommodate water It will not expand its land, its boundary, it will only deepen its depth.
All the rivers flow into the sea, but does the sea turn back their waters? Were it not for the flowing rivers, there would be no sea. Likewise, without tribulations, there would be no victory.
