A Self -Help Book Works Like Booster For Me
After sometime I lose motivation then I read the same self-help book last page first.
Self-help books work like a booster of motivation. The last self help-book I have read is Choose Yourself by James Altucher. My motivation skyrocketed and after a few weeks it got punctured and like a balloon, an all motivational air came out from my body.
Let’s say before reading the book my motivation was of 5 kg.
After reading the book it became of 15 kg.
After 2 months my motivation came down to 5 kg.
For the third time, I read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book, once you pick this book, you will not keep it back until your spouse says you are not giving time to him and her. There are a lot of nuggets in this book, but for me to carry consistent motivation is quite difficult, my motivation is like a share market index which goes high and comes down. It is volatile.
I consulted this motivation deficiency issue with a motivational speaker who told me to read Think…Grow.. from the last chapter, means chapter 15 to 1.
I asked him how he keeps himself motivated all the time. He replied that he reads self-help books. Then I asked him, how many times he reads a book. He replied he reads a book to quote some phrases and lines to motivate his audience, that’s all.
Once again I asked the same question, he replied when his customer is motivated, he feels motivated. He also said that he reads a book from last page first.
The other day I met one more motivational speaker and I asked the same question: how does he keep himself motivated. He replied that he reads a lot of self-help books. Then he goes to the washroom and draws diagrams, graphs, to-do- list on the wall. He spends 3 hours in a day in the washroom and comes out with super exciting ideas.
It does not sound weird to me because I had seen some students would draw the diagram of a theorem on the washroom doors of our school. But this motivational speaker does not belong to my school.
Finally reading a self-help book and being motivated is my cup of tea, but the tea is without sugar.
I wish I will become a rich man after reading hundreds of self-help books. I’m eager to know the name of the self-help books from you, and you have to tell me but don’t google for it because I have already a google -generated list and it is a bucket list.
As always, thank you for reading. Riaz. December-2021
