NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY

A Sea of Yellow and Orange

Daffodils in the green of spring’s garden

Yellow stands for happiness, life, and smiles all around. In my life at least. I’m not sure what you see in yellow flowers, a yellow shining sky, or a lady dressed in a yellow skirt but they make me smile.

I love yellow.

And because there is so much yellow in our garden right now, I got some pictures to share.

There are many yellow beauties to be found in nature but daffodils are one of the first ones to show off their magnificence. Often snow is still around when the early bloomers push their yellow brightness through the white blanket.

As I was going through the photographs of these flowers I felt awe.

Awe meaning:

  1. A mixture of fear and admiration towards something.
  2. To be in amazement.
  3. To have the ability to cause people to be in a state of fear and admiration.

I enjoyed looking at these images and got inspired. I got inspired to get creative.

Using the photo editing tool of my tablet I created the below images. Removing the bright color yellow and playing with monochrome and other options was fun.

Art is more than just picking up a coloring pen and drawing something onto a piece of paper. Art is much more than that and luckily our world allows artists from all kinds of areas to display their resulting artworks.

But among them all, nature remains the biggest artist.

Even if yellow isn’t your favorite color, I hope these photographs and narrating words brought some smiles onto your face.

“To the color yellow,

You’re the color of the sunshine that comes dancing through the curtains in my room, and the one I want to escape to hide my gloom.

You’re the color of the gleaming stars in the expanse of night fabric, and the color of the shooting stars that showers down to bring magic.”

Payal Jaswal

I had to share some yellow brightness after cheating on my favorite color with the post of Pink Magnificence.
