A safe place to be,
Is it near the river,
The ocean or the sea?
Could your safe place,
Be away in outer space?
There is a quiet spot somewhere,
You are with someone special,
Doing something special,
Being yourself,
That you can truly say,
It is a safe place to be?
Is there a place locked away,
In the quiet corners of your mind,
Where thoughts are loving and kind,
That is filled with peace and beauty,
Some lost and hidden memory,
That is your safe place to be?
My safe place is where I can in comfort be,
Musing on life and its unfolding mystery,
Lost in my imagination and infinity,
Viewing worlds as far as the eye can see,
That is my safe space to be,
That is my life and destiny.
