A Roadmap to My Body
It can be yours too.
Let me describe to you a map.
We spend so much time talking about what we like or don’t like before getting together. When we finally meet, it’s all getting down to business, in a rush to arrive at the end of a road.
There is no time for that leisurely drive thru hills and valleys. To explore. To rest and watch a glorious sunset.
Here’s my guide on navigating this new land in front of you.
Pit Stop
So we all know about the Twin Mountains and the Magical Cave of Mysteries. But did you know about the Pit Stop?
The pit stop is a one-stop-shop full of everything you need to get the trip started. The ignition, light switch, snack aisle, and big gulp rolled into one.
It’s great when both drivers are short on time and have to get home to start dinner or take the kids to a game.
Don’t skip the pit stop. It’s a happy place, always open, 24–7.
Scenic route
Ah, the places where you just have to stop and stretch your legs. The ones that not many people have seen or the locals have long forgotten about.
Here are a few of mine that you should check out.
Scalp Run — a lovely slow run of fingers through silky sands that relax the body and soothe the soul.
Clavicle Cliffs — lovely and often overlooked, these delicate cliffs have fantastic views of the Twin Mountains and a valley full of wonder. Yet they are strong and carry much above them.
Fingers of Heaven — these 8 tributaries feed into a body of water that is life-giving and sustains all that walk its shores. Don’t forget the dock on each side. They bring you to places you’ve never been before.
Kneeling Goddess — two hidden groves with fragile skin that shivers and quakes as you walk by. Treat gently, and you’ll be rewarded.
The long way home
Simply that. A leisurely trip around this new land, from North to South, East to West. Move around this earth and worship the beauty of it all.
Take the time to note every line, dip, and mark as it shows the strength to survive despite how the ignorant try to break it down.
Build up this land, and it will bring you much in return.
Compass rose
True North. Without the rose, there is no direction. There is no way to navigate. You are lost and bereft, shivering in the cold.
North provides you with a purpose and drives to get where you need to be. As head of it all, North wants you to succeed and become the explorer that your soul yearns to be. It has all the direction you require.
Rules of the Road
What are the rules? Talk to the person in the other seat. They are new to your land. They do not know the wonders of you.
They want to know your road map too.
Go find your happy place.
How my journey started. Thank you for coming along.
