A Rejuvenating Bout of August Rain

Sunday sonnet

A genuinely rainy day has come and washed away the heat, the dust and grime. Drip dropping while the greening greens drink some. Tap tapping with ferocious bursts this time.

Rain soaks the hot and fertile dusty dirt. The sun shined through the rain for just a bit and then the deluge quickly drenched my shirt. It’s time to go inside. This storm won’t quit.

Mid-August, when a summer starts to fray a soaking shower livens up the place. We couldn’t ask for better news today The garden’s in a constant state of grace.

The rain pounds even harder on the ground. More splish and splashing, listen to that sound.
