A Refreshing Treat
September Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Comfort”
Ice cream in a waffle cone.
Comfort comes in many different shapes and sizes. Whenever I wanted ice cream at Baskin-Robbins when I was younger, I chose pink bubblegum — bubblegum flavored ice cream with candy-coated bubblegum pieces. I remember those carefree days fondly, but now my choice of ice cream is a bit different.
As an adult, I prefer mint chocolate chip. Two scoops. In a cup. Sugar cone. Waffle cone. A bowl at home. It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s mint chocolate chip. I used to associate ice cream with a refreshing summer treat, but really it’s a treat at any time, whether alone or with some other sweet treat.
Thanks to Ellie Jacobson and the rest of the SWPSC team for the fun prompts and a comforting place to share them.
