A Rant On Taking Full Responsibility for Your Life (That Could Change Your Life Once and for All)

Happiness Is an Open Door If You Dare to Search for It.

Take full responsibility for your life by realizing that you have control over everything that you think, say, and do; nothing else.

You don’t have control over what everyone else thinks, says, and does; this is likewise their responsibility and reflects themselves. You can only reflect who you are to the world, and other people will perceive your being as they like.

You know what you set out to do, what your intentions are, and why you are taking certain actions. Don’t care about what other people think, say, or do. This will be the biggest life hack that you can implement because your life satisfaction is directly correlated with how much you’re able to give a fuck about what others think of you and how much you’re able to be yourself in any situation.

The External Validation Trap

A lot of people get their value from what others think of them. This is the most shallow form of happiness there is.

It may work up until a given point, where your intrinsic life takes a hit by your constant pleasing of others. Be the person that you know yourself to be. Live the life that you know that you want to live. We’re all living for the first time, all given this life once and for all.

The life that you’re now wasting is a life that you’re never getting back. This time is not coming around a second time.

If you’re young and anxious about your future, I’ll tell you that you will look back at these times as the freest times of your life when you’re older. It could also be the most carefree time of your life. As you grow older, you’d wish you had taken more chances because, in the end, we’re all going the same way — there’s nothing to lose.

The only thing that stops you from doing what you believe in is yourself and your mentality towards life.

Life is passing by quickly and surely, but even though we all know this we’re not always aware of it.

Don’t Keep Doing What You Know Is Wrong

We keep throwing our way at looking at other people’s lives on social media, forgetting to live our own life. If you can look someone in the eye and tell them with 100% certainty that laying on the sofa and eating chips, looking at other people living their life on television is the way you would like to remember your life from the deathbed, go on. But if you’re like anybody else who lives in the hope that their life will one day take a turn for the better, but doesn’t do anything about it, then I hope what I’ve been saying resonates with you. Nobody should want to not reach their full potential in this one life that we get.

It’s really simple, either you die happy or you die with regrets about everything that you should have done. In the end, it’s better to regret something that you did, because at least you tried and don’t have to die not knowing what it would have been like if you took that step in that direction if you just dared to live the one life that you were assigned. When you die, it’s game over. No more chances. You were this person on planet earth during the best years of human history, and you preferred to waste it on mindless activities. Your life was about conforming, being fearful, being entertained by other people living their life, letting go of all the changes you had to make your life the dream life that you could have been proud of when you finally left earth.

There’s so much to do, so little time, and you prefer to waste it lying around and not doing something that you know that you should do, something that could make the life of you and your family better, something that could leave an impact on this world that you’re soon leaving behind.

We’re All Here for the First and Last Time. Might As Well Make Something Out of It.

Tough Love, Mark.

That was a rant with the best of intentions in mind. I don’t want anyone to have an existential crisis, I just want to shed a light on the unlimited potential we have that we most often chose to neglect. We often don’t realize before it’s too late, and well… then it’s too late. If you can realize this sooner rather than later, you will at least be aware of your time and if you chose to keep on doing what you’ve always been doing, feel free — at least you had a choice.
