A Poetic Gift From the Land of Scholars to Down Under

Drop the Mic(heal)!

At outskirts of Europe ‘side Atlantic so fair There’s a nation called Ireland that looks like a Teddy bear

If you don’t know ‘auld Ireland Then be sure you’re very rare ‘Cos our brothers and sisters are almost everywhere

From the gold coast down under, we know the Koala bear To the streets of New York, we’ve been to Paddy’s fair Mexico to Argie you know Ur-Irish-uguay We hit the streets of Glasgow, proud to be a ‘Bhoy’

From London to Manc’ with crazy Scouse affair Them natives, when see us, they run for fresher air

We export our people as much we do our beer If you’ve been to one country, sure an Irish pub is there

So word to you writers, we roll like Fred Astaire A drop of the pure and we dance where’er we are

Now here’s to Mo Chara, Seorse (My friend, George) and Salam Spin me some words so ‘ar readers give a damn!
