A Pocketful of Daisies

Golden Swing

The heart you lost stays silent you cannot hear whispers of love melted in fog there is no lace left to lead back into the maze of hope, the wonder you shared is trampled in the thunder welcoming days of anger, not at peace with your soul spirit aglow needing surrender.

Don’t tread upon the flowers you meet on the way of sorrow, the glimmer of each sunset holds secret gate to a dream you may not want it now, keep it in a pocketful of daisies they know your heart sadness will soon begone, and then your ghosts will love sunbeams again.

If, for once, you become an avenger don’t take away a second chance to see what you would not behold, to caress twilight velvet tears will not close the road, they clean the mind connect your soul to birdsongs and the chime of wind greeting the daisies.

Your trip, they stumble you glow, they gather sun you rest; they shine together in a flower dream swing on a golden thread write your story again this time holding hands with each flower, they will not let you down, they cannot flee unless your heart goes with them.
