Ishika Singh asks : When you think of March, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

When I think of March, I think, “Thank God, it’s autumn at last!” But the weather gods haven’t been notified because it’s still as hot as Hades here.

Not as hot as it has been. Only 30C today! I think I’m working on Northern Hemisphere time because today I started my spring cleaning! I wasn’t in Australia for our Spring (1 September to 30 November) so I’m a bit out of sync.

Let me tell you cleaning in 30C heat is not good so before total exhaustion took over my body, I climbed into the pool for some back stretching exercises.

A CD/cassette tape/radio bit the dust, with its speakers, as did a turntable without speakers, and a card shuffling machine. Even with new batteries, it was a goner. You’d think I’d have more space but the credenza quickly filled with family photos. I even found an old lava lamp and a boombox that still work when I connect my iPhone! I turned the volume up so see how loud it was and the guys across the road wanted to know if I was having a party. It made me happy.

I washed the four sheepskins off my recliner chairs, vacuumed them and put new ones on. I have a lot of sheepskins from my stint selling them in 2018–19. I only have one cowhide though and Keeley has one too.
