A Pill a Day Keeps Crankiness Away
Shortform Theme of the Week: Celebrating my tiny steps toward self-care.
Crankiness was slowly becoming my constant attitude. My hair was falling at an alarming rate. It was everywhere, my bed, the bathroom floor, and even the food (yuck)!
I blamed my work hours, my kids (lol an easy target), and the food. After few months of trying all sorts of home remedies, I decided to visit the doctor. After a series of tests, the verdict was out. My iron and vitamin D levels were messed up. To level up my energy, pill consumption was imperative.
Thanks to my undisciplined approach towards self-care, I kept forgetting to consume it, further deteriorating my health.
Last week I put a reminder to make sure I have no excuse left. I kept the bottle in the kitchen in plain sight.
The results are in. After seven days I am already feeling a difference. The mornings are more productive and my spirit cheerful.
