A Photo Essay-Overall Garden Update

Dan‘s Almost Daily Journal-Volume 61-The Gardens are All Planted But There Is Always Work to Be Done

The Upper Garden/Author Photo

Welcome back. Time is marching on and it’s hard to believe that June will be over in a week. I have no idea where June has gone. In my case, the passage of time definitely is related to the amount of gardening I do. Even though most of the planting is done in each of my 3 vegetable gardens, gardening is a never-ending process. My Grandfather, also an avid gardener, once told me that there is always something to do in the garden. If you are as passionate about gardening as I am, this is a good thing.

I have been publishing articles on a regular basis about garden progress. Most recently, I wrote about planting peppers, and before that heirloom tomatoes.

It is hard to write about all that is going on with the gardens as things change quickly, especially as the summer weather sets in. We have been recently receiving adequate rain and the next week looks rather wet. In May we were praying for rain, now I hope we don’t get too much.

Following are some photos of my gardens taken on 6/23/22. Enjoy.

Stay tuned for more updates. In future articles, I will provide information on vegetable varieties for those not previously covered in past articles (such as cucumbers and squash, green beans, pumpkins, and winter squash).
