A Pep Talk

As I go for a walk.

I give myself a pep talk.

I know times are tough.

But I know I have the stuff.

To manage through it all.

To be able to overcome all.

These days are slow and weary.

It makes me feel a bit teary.

The choice of career is good.

But would I change if I could?

I know my choice is a good decision.

After all, it was my childhood vision.

I know times are tough

People have had enough

We are all tired to a degree

We no longer feel glee

Change is here

Are we ready to shift gear?

This poem is a reflection of the pandemic, people deciding to change career,s and the difficult times we are in. Thanks for reading!
