A “Nutella” That’s Actually Good For You

I love chocolate hazelnut spread, but have you read the Nutella label?
It’s palm oil, processed cocoa, modified milk, a few hazelnuts, and 58% refined sugar. It’s basically a candy bar.
I made my own a while back, but roasting hazelnuts is laborious.
Here’s a healthy and delicious 5-minute version, with hemp seeds.
Hemp seeds are rich in essential fatty acids and protein.
Raw cacao is loaded with nutrients as well.
Coconut oil is my favorite healthy oil.
Recipe for Chocolate Hemp Spread:
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds
- 1/3 cup of raw cacao
- 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil
- 2 tbsp of maple syrup
- 2 or 3 Tbsp of non-dairy milk
Mix all ingredients in a Magic Bullet or small blender until it becomes a paste. You made need to add more oil or milk. Store in the fridge.
