HUMANITY
A Note of Thanks to the Car Wash Attendants
We need to show appreciation for these hard-working folks
The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness.” — Dalai Lama
Today, I took my car to the full-service car wash. As I walked into the cool, comfortable waiting area inside, I wondered about the difficult work of the car wash attendants.
Day in and day out, they wash and polish the car exteriors and vacuum the car interiors. Furthermore, they are required to have good customer service skills and be detail-oriented.
The car wash attendants do all their work here under the blazing hot sun. I live in the South, so it can get sweltering outdoors during the day.
Takeaway
We need to give all these people the credit they deserve for the unenviable tasks they perform.
We only talk about CEOs, doctors, lawyers, and engineers. Yet, we neglect to recognize these service workers.
You do not need to leave a generous tip every single time you visit a car wash.
However, you can show your appreciation by tipping the attendant whatever you can afford as often as you can. The attendant will remember you and reward you with excellent service.
As humans, we all need to feel appreciated because it makes us feel valued and gives meaning to our lives.
