A New Treatment For Fungal Nails
I tested a new remedy and my infection disappeared!

Have you ever had a fungal infection? They can be very unpleasant and difficult to treat. That’s why, when I was offered a free trial of a fungal nail treatment, I thought I’d take it up. I’d had fungal nail infections on my toenails on and off for years, and always treated them successfully with neem oil, but I’m always happy to try something new.
What causes fungal nail infections?
Hot and damp conditions can encourage fungal infections to take hold. So if you’re heading to the gym or taking up sport, hot and sweaty footwear creates the perfect breeding ground for a fungal infections. Wearing socks can absorb sweat and reduce risk. Drying your feet properly when you wash, especially the toes, may help prevent fungal infections too.
But to be honest, they can affect anyone. I don’t do a lot of exercise, except a daily walk, but I’ve been prone to mild fungal infections on my feet for years.
Keep an eye on your feet for signs of infection, so you can act quickly if you need to. Whitening, thick, brittle or discoloured nails are all signs of an infection.
What was the product?
I was offered a free sample of Excilor Nail Fungus Treatment. It comes in two different types. I used the one that you paint on morning and night. There is also a peel off version. It’s easy to use and less messy than my #1 alternative, neem oil, which is equally effective.

When I wrote my first review of the product, it seemed to be working. I’d been using Excilor Nail Fungus Treatment for about seven weeks. The infected part of the nail was growing out nicely.
Within a couple of months, I’m pleased to say it had gone completely. I continued to apply the treatment a couple of times a week as maintenance.
I did find that if I was a bit lax in remembering to apply it regularly, then the infection started to come back, so I went back on the daily treatment regimen.
Here’s the latest blurb from the PR team:
Excilor is a rapid and effective treatment that works on three principles: complete nail penetration; effective action in and under the nail, and convenience, ensuring the treatment is completed.
Excilor’s trademarked TransActive Technology penetrates the nail completely, changes the pH level inside the nail to create a hostile environment for the fungi to grow and further damage the nail bed.
