A New Tomorrow: The Morning Routine

Your Morning Motivation

Before you open your eyes to tackle that ringing alarm clock by your bedside, thank the Universe for a new day because you are lucky to still be here. Be thankful. Assess three things you are thankful for. It can be something you have overlooked on a daily basis, such as the air we breathe or the water we drink. What are you going to do to make this day unlike the other days? Today is a new day. It will be a marvelous day because YOU said so! The power is in YOU.

Switch your habits around.

Stretch out your limbs. Your body will appreciate a 5-minute stretch to get you going from head to toe. Change up your breakfast regimen. Maybe you can skip breakfast and go for a quick walk or a run around the block. Say “hello” to a stranger, and it will definitely make his or her day a brighter one. Perhaps, pick up something savory for breakfast on your way back home.

If you have time, take a 5-minute refreshing shower. It will wake you up if you haven’t already! Play some music while you pick out something spectacular to wear from your wardrobe that you haven’t worn in your weekly rotation.

Take a deep breath and smile! Are you ready for your day? Make a change, one day at a time. You’ll sleep better in the process because you’ll be looking forward to a new tomorrow.
