WRITING
A New “Medium” of Personal Happiness
I could not have asked for a better platform on which to share thoughts, ideas, and opinions with others
When I initially proposed becoming a blogger on Medium to my husband, he questioned my decision.
“Blogging is tedious,” he stated with a hint of disdain.
He mentioned something to the effect that he could never do it himself. He did not have the time nor the inclination to be a writer.
However, in my experience, Medium has been a fantastic platform for a beginning blogger such as myself.
It is a great way to voice my opinions and share thoughts, ideas, and knowledge with a wide and fully engaged audience.
I genuinely feel like I can inform, and I have the opportunity to change people’s minds on issues affecting all of us on several fronts.
I hope to make a difference in the lives of others.
Reading Stories
I look forward to not only writing and sharing my stories but also reading great content.
There are so many different perspectives from such an inclusive group of writers worldwide.
The writers are welcoming, supportive, and encouraging. They are happy to share their wealth of knowledge and valuable insights with other writers.
They practice authenticity taking us with them on their emotional, spiritual, or uplifting journeys.
They are not afraid to show vulnerability to inspire others and contribute to a collaborative atmosphere.
I am in awe of their generosity at the information they are willing to share that will further the writing careers of others.
The more articles I read on Medium, the more I want to read. I have become so accustomed to reading and clapping for articles on Medium that I accidentally scroll down for the claps — even when I read articles on other websites.
Closing Thoughts
Some have asked me what is next in all this for me. I cannot fully answer that at the moment.
All I know is that it has filled a void unbeknownst to me. You do not need to have a finite destination.
I am just enjoying the ride.
What are your thoughts on the writing community here on Medium?
