How to Succeed to be Successful
Success is the outcome of perseverance, commitment, and courage.
Success is a dream realized, a goal achieved, a target hit, or a destination reached that has inspired us long to move ahead without a break to have it. We all crave for success. But our ways to have it may be different. Some believe in persistent efforts. Some seek a tool or a trick. Some follow the achievers.
Our fascinating minds have ever nourished a desire to know the magic mantra of success that can make us successful overnight with fewest efforts.
A young man once met Socrates- the great Greek philosopher and requested him to tell the secret of success. Socrates called him to meet on the river bank that evening. He went to riverside in the evening and found Socrates walking there.
Socrates greeted the young man and held his hand. They started walking towards the river. Socrates did not stop, and both entered the water. When they reached neck deep water Socrates stopped. He held the young man’s neck tightly and forced his head under the water.
He struggled to the best of his strength to free himself, but Socrates was stronger than him. When Socrates saw the young man’s body turning blue, he released him. Young man was coughing and gasping.
Socrates asked him what he wanted most under the water. Young man replied ’air’. Socrates explained him if he wanted anything as intensely as he wanted air under water. He would get it. There is no other secret of success.
Uncompromising Yearning is a Never Failing Success Mantra
The intensity of desire contributes to the constancy of the focus. And our undivided focus calls upon all the mental, physical and spiritual energies to come together to work in unison. The yearning keeps us on the track leading to the goal.
When we yearn for success, many attractions come into mind as distractions to shift our focus, suggesting to compromise with something less than the desired goal with less struggle in a short time.
Some are impatient to enjoy the excitement of being successful. They compromise on the midway to their destination. And never reach desired and planned destination. Not yearning, but uncompromising yearning is only a mantra that never fails to get success.
Applying this success mantra, man has conquered mighty Himalayas, is ruling over the sky, and lives on the seas and into the seas like an emperor. Man has turned many past impossibilities upside down.
