A Myopic World
Out of focus

Blurred from a distance,
The outlines merge.
Some colours fade in,
Some fade out.
A sense of discomfort
hangs in the air
As I keep my glasses aside,
Only to realise —
It’s a myopic world in my eyes.
I can’t make out
Who’s who
Unless I’ve been through and through
Or I’ve known that tee-shirt blue.
The horizon flickers,
The clouds are dusty,
There’s a glitch in my throat
As I keep my glasses aside,
Only to realise —
It’s a myopic world in my eyes.
It’s a small world
With a fuzzy view,
Obscure faces dropping a clue
Ughh! This guessing game is tiresome
As I keep my glasses aside,
Only to realise —
It’s a myopic world in my eyes.
