A Morning Stroll
Enjoying nature at the Minnesota Arboretum
If I lived closer, I would visit the Minnesota Arboretum every day. The endless trails, flowers, trees, and hidden spots to write draws me each time we visit. It’s been a few years since the last visit. I was eager to explore.

The day was weather perfect, with a light breeze, temps in the 70s, and a solid blue sky as far as I could see.

This spot, the rose collection, is one of my favorites. On this day several weddings were taking place, what a perfect place to wed.
Maybe my husband and I could renew our vows here?

Stop and smell the roses. Take a photo or two along the way.

I didn’t notice the soft pink dots on the rose above until I was going through my photos.

“The gentle rose offers a powerful joy known only to the heart.” ― Andrew Pacholyk

When the sun was getting too strong, we took our walk to the shaded tree areas. I wanted to stop and write under the trees for the rest of the morning, but kept walking.

I found this glass sculpture on our walk but didn’t get the name of the artist.

My eye is always drawn to the color purple. I don’t remember seeing these purple hearts before. I told my husband we should plant these in our yard next year.

My boys grew impatient with my endless stopping to take photos. They should be used to it by now.
I will return solo in early October to take some fall photos.
Do you have a favorite place you like to take photos and always find something new with each visit?
