A Mixed Bag Of An Envelope, Eraser, Ear, Eggs, And Elephant

In response to the A to the Z photo challenge

Photo by the author- Preeti Singh

I am presenting to you a mixed bag of things with E. I have so many things but they are all unrelated. Let us see what I can show you.

Envelope

I love pretty envelopes and the one above was bought by me at an exhibition.

I bought a packet of six of this design and six of another design. When I go to a wedding or some function where I need to give a gift or a token of some money, I just put it in these kinds of envelopes.

Look at the envelope. The artwork is amazing. This is shaded with light and dark colors. The colors are mostly blue-based.

Almost everyone calls me and thanks me when they receive my token in a lovely envelope. They do ask where I got such a beautiful envelope from.

Eraser

I buy a lot of erasers but I don’t know where they disappear. When I look for them I find the oldest and most hopeless ones.

I wondered whether the above eraser👆🏽 will actually rub the writing on the paper.

I tried to rub something with the above eraser and it did work. All things that look hopeless may not actually be useless or hopeless. They do work and that is what matters.

Ear

I asked my house helper to lend me her ear. She laughed and asked me what will I do with it. I told her clearly I am going to post it in a story and she was excited and agreeable.

She stood in a side pose and there I was clicking her ear. We both laughed. The EAR is certainly with E so here I am posting it.👆🏽

Eggs

I went to the market and I saw carts full of eggs. Around every cart, there was a cart owner and people surrounding him.

The cart owner boiled eggs on a stove. He then took them out and deftly put them on a plate. He then sprinkled some salt, pepper, and some spices and handed them over to the person.

I saw people enjoying the eggs a lot. The cart had a warm feeling with big lantern lights. I think these were battery-operated.

This was a great food for many people. People hungry after work would stop at the cart. Some would eat there and some got it packed.

I also saw people eating eggs and chatting with each other. They were enjoying some gossip or small talk with each other.

It looked clean and satisfying.

These people thought that it was the best street food available. It was wholesome and full of protein.

It was an occupation for some people and food for others serving the purpose of two sets of people.

This was the only cart I found where the owner was not there, nor were people. Even the stove was switched off. I guess he had earned enough for the day and planned to leave for home.

I just stood there and clicked a photo. My job was done. Just then the cart man came. I told him that I just took a picture of his cart.

He was fine with it and was ready to pose so I could take his picture with the eggs too. I just took some pictures and sent them on his phone and kept this picture to post.

Elephant

Finally, let me narrate that I traveled to Thailand recently and saw these majestic elephants.

In Thailand, you see a lot of elephants.

I just wrote a story about them in The Majestic Elephants In My Travels. The photo above is from the Safari Park in Bangkok.

The Safari Park in Bangkok was lush green with open space. The park is unique and has many different kinds of animals and birds.

However, there are many many elephants in India too. Elephant rides used to be quite common when you went for a visit to places of tourist interest.

Now with the new technology, you see Jeeps and large SUVs in which people go up heights.

I enjoyed reading JoAnn Ryan’s post on Eat, Eating, and Eaten — - all the related E’s
