A Millennial’s Metaphor for Aging
If you know, you know…

Getting old is parting with a pair of your favourite harem pants. You waited over a month to receive them from China. Your legs excitedly dove in and made fingerless gloves out of the fit. You revelled in their multi-patterned patchwork glory for years and wore them so often they became part of who you were.
But alas. Now the elastic has completely worn out and they slip down without warning.
It’s time for them to go to harem pant heaven.
You know it's time to move on. You need new clothes that won’t reveal your underwear. But you mourn their loss. Especially seeing as they are discontinued.
Just like the time you lose each and every moment, you can’t get them back.
So, you must enjoy the pants while they still fit.
And enjoy a life full of many pants.
