Marketing and communication, those two words seem to be very important when you’re a freelancer or a content creator. Now, if there’s one thing I hate practicing, it would be communication.

Since I have been a kid, I had trouble with communication, from talking to people directly, face to face, to speak to people on the phone, and it’s still a big issue in my personal and professional life. You might imagine that this could be quite difficult when you’re a freelancer and content creator, and it really can be.

But to learn how to deal with this lack of communication skills, we need to understand why it is so difficult for introverted people to communicate in their professional lives and according to this paper by Larry Dossey MD, two-third of the population is extraverted, so perhaps they could help us out a bit.

Why are marketing & communication such a struggle for introverted people?

Many people experience a lot of stress when socializing, talking, or just thinking of communicating with people. Of course, this isn’t for everybody, like with any ‘disease’ or disorder, and a very well-known misconception about introverts is that they like to spend time alone, but this isn’t always the case.

“The quality of being shy and reticent.”

Which doesn’t specifically mean that these people want to be alone all the time. In fact, most introverted people would love to socialize with all different kinds of people, but they have the inability to do so, including me.

When your income relies on communication and marketing, such as being a freelancer or working a marketing position in a company, it’s much easier for you if you’re comfortable talking and communicating with people.

For me, it’s so difficult to call on the phone, have an online meeting or create videos, so when I do, I need to feel really safe.

One way to be a good communicator is to have the ability to listen and communicate yourself effectively to people around you actively. Sadly, not one skill or practice can help you increase your ability to express yourself.

Most effectively communicating is crucial for success inside the workplace, but it is also important outside of it. It helps you accomplish your objectives and express your feelings. Excellent communication will help you be an efficient worker and reduce any unforeseen consequences due to misunderstandings.

One of the key factors to good communication is developing a solid communication strategy. This helps you to understand better what others are saying and improves your collaborative and team skills.

Introverts may find social media beneficial and beneficial as a tool for increasing their social capital. Although social media has many purposes, it promotes brand awareness and develops relationships to generate revenue.

It doesn’t matter how long you allow yourself to grow comfortable connecting with people since there is no need to rush or force it.

Additionally, you may personalize your profiles to not ask for input that will draw your attention. There are no obvious benefits for those who don’t like conversing on Facebook, for example, to provide product links on their profiles.

This would only inspire others to ask inquiries about the product. Rather, use Facebook Ads to get new leads, and then use another channel to push content to drive revenue actively.
