A Mango Seedling Cannot Create a Guava Tree

Only man becomes deprogrammed and becomes someone else

In nature, there are different varieties of trees. The seedling of one cannot generate the tree of another type. Similarly, a child that is born also has certain innate tendencies that make him fit for one kind of role. Unfortunately, unlike trees, men become deprogrammed from what they were supposed to become and take up roles in society that do not suit them.

Everyone is equal

A mango tree has certain characteristics while a guava tree has some other characteristics. There goes a saying “One cannot compare oranges with apples”. If we take this quote literally also then it means that both the apple trees and orange trees have a special place in nature and one should take care and love both of these plants.

Similarly, people are born with certain innate tendencies. If they nurture their tendencies then they will assume a certain role in society. A person with an inclination toward music shall become a musician while the other with management skills shall become a leader. Unfortunately, people follow a certain trend and ultimately assume roles that do not match their innate tendencies. They do so because not every role in society is provided with the same amount of love.

Every role that a person assumes in society needs to be respected and loved equally. Only then can people not become deprogrammed from what they were supposed to become and assume roles that go against their innate nature.

One cannot be happy

If a person goes after reputation and love from others and assumes a role that does not suit his personality then he will be unhappy. How much ever love or respect he gets from others cannot compensate for the emptiness he will have within himself for not following his innate desire.

Example: Shyam is a very light-hearted person whose interest is painting. While growing up as a child he observed that people in management were given more love and respect. A person taking the lead role in managing society was loved and revered by most people. Shyam too longed for that love and respect and became deprogrammed to eventually leave the painting and take up an MBA course to become a manager.

Eventually, Shyam did become the manager but he wasn’t satisfied. There was an emptiness within him. He never thought about how society will run or relate to the issues that the majority of people face. Thus, people under him were not happy and he became frustrated.

Cannot blame them

Not everyone is internally motivated. Most people in society long for appreciation and love from others. Thus, we cannot blame people for not taking up roles that they are meant to enjoy. It is basic human psychology. In case we want everyone to follow their heart and take up roles that they are interested in then we as a society should remove special emphasis on certain roles and consider everyone to be equally worthy of love and respect.

How to love everyone equally

It is fear that causes people to give special emphasis to one role than the other. We fear that if the other person does not take up a certain role then he will be in danger. This fear causes him to give extra love and care to people in such roles.

In order to overcome the fear, one should employ the technique of catharsis and refinement of the inner child. These techniques are applied properly shall reduce the fear in a person and make him love every person equally.

Ideally, I believe a person meant to be a leader will be a leader. He does not need extra love to carry on with his task. Actually, if he doesn’t become the leader then he will not be internally happy. So other people in the society should stop treating them in a special manner and just consider them their equals. It will in no way cause the person in the lead role to give up their task. As a musician enjoys his music so does a natural leader enjoy his management tasks.

Conclusion

The fact with humans is that they do not know their own “seedlings”. They follow the general trend followed in society and assume a role in society that goes against their innate nature. The longing for love and respect from others is the main force behind them getting deprogrammed.

We as a society should start considering every person as unique and respect them irrespective of their roles in society. A person who is able to have unconditional love is actually someone who is devoid of all forms of fear. For the rest, they should apply the process of catharsis and refinement of the inner child to remove the sheaths of fears and eventually love others equally. I also believe such people would also become internally motivated and would only take up such roles in society that suits their personality. This will lead to the creation of a harmonious society where people are happy and joyful.
