A Loving Farewell to ‘Tacenda’ and Welcoming ‘Fika’
Paper Poetry Series

Dear Paper Poetry Patrons, Hello, Bonjour, Olá, Salaam, Hola, Nǐn hǎo, Konnichiwa, Guten Tag, Namastay, LOVE.
Two months of the year 2022 have rolled by, and we are springing forward to welcome spring. Time flies with the speed of light. Ancient wisdom says to slow down and appreciate some beautiful moments before they become memories.
This is exactly what we intend to do at the poetry series, pause a bit, explore and appreciate the essence of beautiful words in myriad languages across the globe. After all, language has never been an impediment to spreading love.
The Poetry Series is a Paper Poetry project wherein we invite a contributing poet to write theme-based poems in a series over one month. These themes are from any and every corner of the world.
Poetry Series is a platform to —
- Explore a theme in depth while showcasing your work.
- Claim a special spot on Paper Poetry publication.
- Have mention in the newsletter with your photograph.
- Enjoy increased visibility.
- Receive an e-certificate from Paper Poetry to use for your branding and endeavors.
- Cherish an experience of a lifetime; trust me, the journey of carving a series on a theme will be worth your time, effort, and a loving legacy.
We have had six themes till now, explored and expressed by six wonderful poets. Let’s take a look below as we bid adieu to Tacenda and welcome the next series.
Tacenda- Poetry Series #6
Margie Willis was our 6th poetry series writer and crafted four poems on the series Tacenda(Latin) — things better left unsaid. Her poems touched the right chord somewhere. She did not simply write tacenda; instead, she lived Tacenda through her magical words.
She has a unique ability to make unsaid words shine through her art, to make unsaid words loud and clear. She says little and says it all, enough to touch her reader’s soul.
We deeply thank you, Margie, for being with us on this journey and pampering us with many facets of tacenda.
We insist you visit her craft embodying Tacenda ethereally.
Below is a certificate of recognition by Paper Poetry.

Let’s take a quick look through Margie’s work below:

- In her first poem, she walks us through how tacenda invited Zen into her adulthood, evolving her with a rippling effect.
From Tacenda evolves an inborn grace wisdom to embrace the points of a place
2. In her 2nd poem, she tacitly describes how Tacenda bridged the abyss between mismatched expectations.
They could have the big hacienda and I’m glad I chose Tacenda
3. Then, she penned a collection of haikus on Tacenda.
eons of silence summon universal truths synchronicity
4. In her concluding poem, she left us wanting more. In Just shut up and kiss me, she wishfully dreams Tacenda to be her Valentine, her date, saying nothing, leaving unsaid things unsaid, and just kissing her, an expression of pure love.
Tacenda would be my Valentine come true no idle chit-chat winding into wacka-doo creatures heed body language to see what’s true in the dance of romance, a pet is the best guru.
Upcoming Poetry Series: ‘Fika’
Drum rolls, please. We are super thrilled to announce our 7th Poetry Series theme with an esteemed writer.
He is a Top Writer in Poetry. An avid nature lover, a poet who writes sonnets and more about nature and the humans within it.
We are honored and humbled to have a poet of his finesse and poise as our next poetry series writer. His fame precedes his name.
Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in welcoming William J Spirdione👏👏👏.

William has agreed to grace our 7th poetry series, Fika.
Fika is a Swedish word symbolizing a moment to slow down and appreciate good things in life.
In his first poem, Lifetime of Fika One at a Time, William enjoys little things one at a time and captures the joy while taking a five-minute break in between shoveling driveways. He finds fika in laughing and sitting on upturned logs around a crackling fire of maple twigs, relishing coffee and maple scones.
We can’t wait to devour the sumptuous sonnets from him and get inspired to slow down and appreciate good things in life.
We sure are game for a delectable indulgence by William J Spirdione’s art on Fika. Stay tuned dear friends!
