My entry into the — Story Of My Heart Pure Fiction Challenge

I truly enjoy writing Flash Fiction. It gives me a chance to escape into another reality. Yet I favor fiction over fantasy. I prefer to write about real people, faced the things that people face as part of their normal life.

Earlier this year I wrote a Flash Fiction story that I am particularly proud to submit to this contest. At the time, I felt the story addressed the joy and heartbreak of life. The same emotions many of us experience.

It is a story about one man, James, but it could be about any man or woman. Since publication, the story has received wonderful reviews and positive comments from people of all ages. I am hopeful it will tug at your heartstrings, as it has for so many others.

The story titled “White Lace and Promises”, while fiction, is one based on true life events. Only the facts and the names have been changed.
