A Love Letter To The Last Day Of The Year

“You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.” — Michael Jordan

This year turned out to be a blessing for me. I started it with no such great expectations, but I achieved quite small things that made me feel so big from the inside.

I happened to publish my third book ‘Interview With Gems Of Medium’ and am gearing up to start working on its second series in 2023.

Soon I will be running Free Book Promotion for it in the coming year. I am so excited already.

I didn’t contribute much here this time, but I have no regrets. The busy routine and lots of other things took a toll on me and I had to contribute my time elsewhere. But I will be coming back to this habit of reading for an hour here as it has always filled me with hope and blessings.

The journey became more worthwhile when I started working as a Domestic Violence Advocate and I have no intention of giving up on this profession ever. I have already gained more than 80+ followers and crossed 150.1k views on Quora.

The icing on the cake is I have crossed 1 million views on my personal account on Quora with 396 followers at present. That was my target for this year, and I wanted to see if I could do it and I did that. I wanted to write 1000 answers, but I couldn’t because of my exam in December. I cleared it with a good score and now I will have more time to write again.

Thanking each one of you who accepted me wholeheartedly and encouraged me enough to write every day. Your faith in me has made me a better human. My readers have made me a humble soul. Thank you for that.

Look at the statistics of my writing this year:

Articles Contributed: 42 Books Review: 7 Interviews: 40 Letters: 1 Micro-poems: 7 Newsletter: 1 Poems: 25

In total, I wrote here 130 times. That’s quite a low number for me but then I believe I might be writing like this in 2023 too. Let’s see how it goes.

I got my account on Substack and contributed 4 articles in a month.

I hope that next year I will come up with one more book.

I gifted myself a bike in 2021 and this year I completed 411.2 Kms.

I walked 1626.1 Kms in 2022.

I didn’t paint and sketch a lot this year, but I started coloring again.

Overall, this year has taught me gratitude and to see the best things during the darkest hours of life. I have learned to deal with depression and anxiety on my own. Fortunately, suicidal thoughts didn’t cross my lane more. It’s like I have said a sweet goodbye to them in my heart and soul.

To all the beautiful people who have turned into great friends via Medium, I have a message for you…

I am sending you love, peace, and a virtual hug. I love you for who you are. Never change yourself. Be yourself. Being miserable is being good too. Just love yourself. Love your vulnerability. And if you ever feel like the world has ended for you and you have nobody by your side, you know where to reach me :)

On this note, wishing you all a great year ahead :) Don’t expect a lot but live wholeheartedly. We never know which day is going to be our last. Always remember nothing will go along with you in the end, so learn to appreciate what you have. We have everything. God has given us enough. It’s our time to give it back to God and the universe.

Love you all :)
