A Lot of People are Saying He is a Tremendous Racist the Likes of Which the World has Never Seen…. Believe Me!

In February, several leaders of Historically Black Colleges and Universities took a meeting with POTUS45. They took a chance by meeting with him. They were scared, just like the rest of us, of what America could become under the “leadership” of this bigoted manchild. They wanted to protect students of color and their institutions of learning for future generations. It was a noble act to meet with him. It was a noble act to stand in that Oval Office…smiling, knowing they would be ridiculed, many times by their own people, for looking like Step n Fetch or Uncle Tom. These leaders were used in a twisted minstrel show not of their own making. But they went ahead, on the off chance that Trump would hear them. They persisted, hoping they could find some common ground on which to build a relationship of some kind, any kind. So that if, and when, Trump started sprinting towards the wrong side of history, at least they could be in the race…to trip him up. They, like so many people of color, wanted their humanity acknowledged and their voices heard before it was too late. They had to try…

The HBCU leaders wanted to find hope. Trump wanted a photo op that he and his followers could point to in order to disprove his bigotry in a very, “My best friend is Black” kind of way. He used them as props. (I guess that is a “thing” in his administration. Education Secretary DeVoss used the graduating class of Bethune-Cookman University as props to try to look inclusive and sympathetic to race issues .…didn’t work). The HBCUs’ leaders hoped for the best and prepared for worst. Many promises were made, very few have been kept. They knew that might happen. They were prepared. Its always good to be prepared.

Kanye said, in reference to the shamefully slow reaction to Katrina,“George Bush doesn’t care about Black People”. In POTUS43’s eyes, at least we were people. POTUS45 does not view African Americans as human beings. From asking April Ryan, DC Bureau Chief for American Urban Radio Networks, to “set up" a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus (because, you know, we all know each other and enjoy doing secretarial and administrative work in our spare time) to letting us know we are an undereducated bunch, living in squalor and killing each other and therefore, have nothing to lose. When it comes to race, POTUS45’s views are interchangeable with those of the KKK. The only difference is the outfit. Trade in the hood for an laughably long tie made in China, and voila! Trump.

I wasn’t surpised by POTUS45’s “statements” at all, and you shouldn’t be either. After all, this is a man who, on the very 1st day of his presidency, erased the “Civil Rights” page on Whitehouse.gov and replaced it with a call to support our cops…

What’s the saying? “When someone tells you who they are, believe them…the first time”. Its not funny…it was never funny.

No one is laughing, but everyone should be getting prepared.

Its always good to be prepared.

We have everything to lose.
