A Loophole in the Safe

A small safe for secrets part 2 — Open story

From A Small Safe for Secrets Part 1

“Ok, Rhonda, you have a lot of potential to lead a life you will be proud of. Do you want that?”

I took a long one minute to think. “Yes.”

“Okay then, let’s get to know you. If you are comfortable, can you tell me one secret?”

“Umm…”

There was a long silence.

Open Story

I was going to complete A Small Safe for Secrets myself, but I have an idea. I want to listen to your take on this. Let’s make this a short trilogy. I will be reading your input and combining those with some of my ideas to create part 2 for A Small Safe for Secrets, named A Loophole in the Safe. All the contributors will be given credit for their respective ideas in the final draft of this story. Don’t forget to mention your user ID on Medium at the end.

Guidelines

Form: Fiction story

Theme: Locked potential, distrust in the society (can be changed according to your perspective in part 2)

Genre: Suspense

Emotions: Part 1 revolves around confusion, grief, feeling of being lost, and loneliness. You can choose the emotions in Part 2.

I strongly suggest all contributors read A Small Safe for Secrets to get a better understanding of what this story is about.

Avoid ideas leading to a romantic relationship between two characters, religious plots, and all forms of violence.

This idea was taken from A Shayens Abran’s post:

You can find more open poems In Be Open.

I look forward to your ideas!

Sincerely,

Writer D.
