A lockdown epiphany

How the pandemic changed my perspective

Just as any individual out there, I was deeply affected by the outbreak of this pandemic. After hours and weeks of quiet introspection, I can say that I am grateful for it gave me a chance to pause and reflect on my life. To never take things for granted and to appreciate and be more grateful for the blessings in life.

On a global perspective, I strongly believe that,

irrespective of our nationality or religion or social status, we’re facing the same challenges.

We’re all connected more than we thought initially.

We must learn to live every moment as it is our last day alive. Live in the present or as they say, CARPE DIEM.

Use our time wisely as it can be over sooner than we think. Do things that you have saved for the future, feed your soul with positive actions.

Learn to coexist with other living beings in nature. Be humble and compassionate towards each other.

More importantly, develop an act of gratitude for every moment in your life. Accept a situation as it is and try to learn from it. You don’t want to miss out on the simple yet abundant things in life.

NOW is the time to being kind to one another. The quality of a meaningful life is how we live in harmony with each other. And the basis of this harmony being compassion.

On that note, remember to take care of yourself and to be thankful for we are ‘still breathing’.

Cheers!
