A Little Envy Goes A Long Way
Hating on others can have fatal consequences.

Her little vial of envy, once high up on a shelf, beckons to her now because she does not love herself.
She grabs the bottle hurriedly, no patience to ingest, once again, she was reminded that she is not the best.
How dare that b*tch upstage me? This phrase escapes her lips, as the heat intensifies between her rapid sips.
The poison tastes quite bitter, and she is gasping frantically for breath. A lesson learned too late, she hated someone to death.
Better is the enemy of good.
So many people dwell in the land of ER Than. They obsess over someone that is prettiER, smartER, or wealthiER, than they are. Engaging envy is a colossal waste of time. Some people literally cannot move forward in life because they are too busy envying another individual’s life.
Accepting who you are is a great gift. When you focus solely on competing with others, the joy of life escapes you.
Thank you for reading my poem.
