A Lazy Look Back at What I Read Last Week

Did you miss my Sunday update about the stories I read over the past week?

Okay everybody, I know I’m a whole day or two late, but it’s not my fault! I just can’t seem to get on track. I literally lost a whole day, two weeks in a row. Well maybe not literally, but I swear I don’t know where those days went. I just know I went around all day, on both occasions, under the impression it was the day before.

Anyway, just in case anyone is even remotely interested in what I managed to read last week, in spite of my COVID condition and recovery period, here’s what I have.

(Nope, I didn’t even bother to pop in the distinctive image I’ve been using for this feature. I’m such a lazy sack of potatoes ;-(

You can consider this the abbreviated version of my weekly update; aka: a lazy ass look back at what stories I read, when I wasn’t feeling like crap.

Okay, here goes. I warn you, it’s gonna be quick, so don’t blink…

Okay that’s it. Sorry guys, but I just honestly don’t feel like breaking it down to you this week. It has nothing to do with the stories themselves, because I actually read some pretty funny stuff — and boy could I use a laugh — but I’m just still not 100%.

I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but this Omicron is really a trip, and not in a good damn way!

I don’t even feel like myself mentally. I feel like I’m going through the motions of being myself, but I don’t feel authentic (if that makes any sense).

I think it’s because the whole thing seems so surreal; not just my own situation, but the COVID situation in general. I still look around sometimes, at all of us walking around with masks on our faces, as the accepted norm.

Will the day ever really come where this madness is all behind us?

Anyway, sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but if you want to get back in a good mood, be sure to check out some of the 25 stories on my list, and have yourself a good read.

And if you enjoy the lists I created last week, with all the cute names for the writers I follow, be sure to send me your own lists, just like Julius Evans did right here:

Final Thoughts

While I didn’t pinpoint more stories to highlight this week, I did focus on this one in particular, specifically for the visuals.

In fact, I’d like to give a great big THANK YOU to Joanne Olivieri for responding to my photo challenge story.

If you already had a chance to enjoy my beautiful slideshow of skies, make sure you stop and visit this breathtaking collection from Joanne. Her story is called:

And don’t forget, if you have photos of your own, that you’d like to showcase, you can let me know.

I’ll accept your lists, your sky stories, and anything else I promote, ALL on this one page, simply leave an appropriate response:
