A Larger Than Life Character Who’s Been Boosting Public Morale
Lockdown doesn’t have to be all doom, gloom and depressing.
These truly are unprecedented times. The world has come to a standstill and nobody has a clue just how long we will be stuck in this state of panic, unrest and… blah, blah, blah, whatever.
Yes, the world is in chaos, we don’t need reminding.
It’s time to take a step back from the anarchy, forget the doom and gloom for a minute and maybe even enjoy a much-needed laugh or two.
Over the past five-six weeks, the world has been flipped on its head.
Professions once considered to be on the lower end of the ‘success’ spectrum have now become the backbone of society, vital for survival with such employees being viewed as modern-day heroes, and rightly so.
Then at the other end of the scale are the rich and famous, people who were once idolized for their talents and successes are now experiencing a barrage of criticism as of late due to some questionable online content.
Yes, there have been a number of celebrities feeling the heat from ‘fans’ as they sit in the comfort of their multi-million-dollar mansions and attempt to stay relevant amidst these testing times.
Social media posts and video messages from various A-class personalities claiming that they too are enduring tough times — likely in an attempt to be relatable — and that we all need to be kind to and support one another have gone down like a lead balloon.
Of course, their hearts are in the right place, they mean well and are no doubt feeling the pressures of the current situation — we all are in some shape or form — but it’s hard to feel any real authenticity from such messages when you can see a beautiful aqua blue swimming pool in the background and know that most likely their living conditions are far from unpleasant.
But regardless of who, what or where people are, we should try and show at least a little empathy for others during these tough times.
However, on the flip side of things, there have been many well-known figures who have avoided such scrutiny and their attempts to bring a little joy and positivity to the lives of others has been well received.
Amongst those lucky few is one larger than life character — and I say that in the literal sense — who has really stood out in his efforts to keep the public smiling.
British boxer and world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury stands at 6feet 9inches tall and has been attracting attention for all the right reasons.
Fury, whose struggles with mental health have been well documented over recent years, has been using the popular social media platform Instagram to perform live daily workouts from his home in Morecambe, England.
Health and fitness — which has played a pivotal role in helping Tyson overcome and manage his mental health challenges — remains part and parcel of everyday life at the Fury household which is why these daily workouts often include wife, Paris, and have even been gate-crashed on occasion by their children, looking to get in on the action.
What makes Tyson’s live videos so appealing is the loving banter between himself and fiery wife Paris — who takes no sh*t — , the fact that you don’t need to be a super athlete or have a plethora of gym equipment at home to join in and of course, the positive energy that Mr Fury brings to almost everything that he does.
If you’ve been feeling a little lethargic lately, have been looking for something to give you a much-needed boost of energy and to motivate you to get moving, while at the same time putting a smile on your face, then go check out one of Tyson Fury’s daily home workout videos.
