Cast upon the shore Drenched to the bone Scars line her body In careful precision Hidden from the world Under luminescent skin. Her face, serene Hiding a swirling flood Of conflicting emotions. Splinters deeply embedded Into work-worn palms A bitter reminder Of a reluctant journey, Turbulent and terrifying.
