A Joke That’s Profound
A silly joke that has no punchline
A guy walks into a bar with a deer, so goes the tale, A joke that’s been told, that never did fail. He orders a drink, and takes a seat, The bartender asks, “What’ll it be?”
The guy replies, “I’ll have a beer, And while you’re at it, pour one for my deer.” The bartender nods, and gets to work, As the guy looks around, with a peculiar smirk.
He sees a big horse, standing near at the bar, And a parrot on the shoulder of a man with a scar. He wonders aloud, “What’s this place all about?”, As the bartender hands him and his deer their stouts.
The bartender chuckles, and says with a grin, “This is a bar, where all God’s friends are welcome in.” The guy takes a sip, and a long look around, And realizes that he’s in a place that’s profound.
For in this bar, there’s much laughter and cheer, Where everyone’s welcome, just pull up a chair. So, if you’re ever feeling low down or just blue, Just remember this bar, and come in for a brew.
