The Southern Hemisphere Xmas Season — is different our side of the equator
As its summer here down under — where Santa needs a refrigerator
In contrast to the northern hemisphere — where Santa needs lots more clothes
As he snuggles up to the reindeer — including that one with the red nose
But south of there — he lets out his hair — and that furry white beard as well
Santa puts on his swimming costume — and takes a dip in the ocean swell
That’s after he dumps those presents — at the base of an old gum tree
And if we are lucky and have been good — there are gifts for you and me
Yes, our Xmas time down under — we need to keep things cool
So we slip off our clothes — take a dive in the sea — or at home if we have a pool
Where people usually gorge themselves — until they are nearly dead
And thereafter roll around like piglets — lying in their bed
As we pussycats are not pigs — we lie around like a furry feline
And we enjoy eating all the leftover scraps — that adds to our lives of nine
But actually for us pussycats — our furry skin bags get terribly hot
So we scramble for that spinning fan — that blows air around a lot
But New Years Eve is terrifying — especially the fireworks at midnight
It’s the time when the dogs and cats hide — to avoid the bangs that fright
That frighten our living daylights — and the nightlights that go off with a bang
Its under the bed, where it’s safer instead — its where we would rather hang
It’s the time of year — when people cheer — we wish you a happy new year!
Where they drink copious amounts of alcohol — that’s champagne and lots more beer
But we small cats are not like that — we just sit under the moon — hey dude
Where we thank the universe and mother nature — with love and gratitude
MeoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW for now
Until next time
