There are approximately 5–6 years’ worth of Darknet Market announcements on Dread, most of which are now defunct due to various reasons such as exit scamming, seizures, etc. I am sharing those announcements with you.

In Part 1 of this article, I will share with you the announcements of what is currently considered the Top 5 marketplaces. I will also be adding tidbits for the market such as Cryptos supported.

Please keep in mind that a Marketplace announcement does not mean that the marketplace opened on this exact date. If an exact date or estimated date is known, it will be provided next to the market. Markets are in alphabetical order and not by size!

Current Top 5 Marketplace Announcements

Abacus Market currently only accepts BTC and XMR crypto and has been active since September 2021. Below are screenshots of their announcement on Dread.

Archetyp Market only accepts XMR crypto and has been active since May 2021. Screenshots are below of their market announcement on Dread.

Incognito Market accepts BTC and XMR crypto and has been active since October 2020. Snaps are below for Incognito’s market announcement on Dread.

Nemesis Market accepts BTC, LTC and XMR crypto. Nemesis market has been active since May 2021.
